Elephant Hills, Khao Sok

The magnificent award winning Elephant Hills is Thailand’s first Luxury Tented Jungle Camps, situated among lush tropical surroundings in the heart of Southern Thailand, combining the camping idea of African national parks with the Thai tropical forest environment. 


The Elephant Camp consists of 30 individual luxury safari tents that have been tailor-made to keep you safe, secure and comfortable. The Rainforest Camp is situated on the emerald green waters of Cheow Larn Lake on floating decks, each with its own outdoor seating area and a pair of kayaks for exploring the waters.  

At Elephant Hills you can get close to nature by helping take care of the elephants, jungle trekking & canoeing on the stunning lake, which is surrounding by ancient tree canopies that hide monkeys, gibbons, wild elephants and even big cats. After a day on safari relax with a bite to eat at the camp restaurant & bar before retreating back to you jungle tent.

Khao Sok National Park is approximately three hours from popular beach destinations like Phuket, Khao Lak and Krabi, so makes a great add-on to your Thailand holiday.  All transfers to and from Elephant Hills are included from Phuket, Krabi, Khaolak and Suratthani & Khanom & Koh Samui.

Due to ethical reasons Elephant Hills do not offer riding the Elephant. Instead, you will get to feed, wash and interact with Asia’s largest land animal during the unique, award-winning Elephant Experience.

Jungle Safari Tented Camp

Jungle Safari (2 days/1 night)

All tents are equipped with proper, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, wooden floors, electricity as well as an en-suite bathroom. All the tents are of the same size, the bathrooms come with a hot & cold shower, western style toilet, and Elephant Hills shampoo collection.

Jungle Safari (3 days/2 nights

All tents are equipped with proper, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, wooden floors, electricity as well as an en-suite bathroom. All the tents are of the same size, the bathrooms come with a hot & cold shower, western style toilet, and Elephant Hills shampoo collection.

Jungle Lake Safari - Rainforest Camp

Jungle Lake Safari (3 days/2 nights)

The Elephant & Rainforest Camps – All tents are equipped with proper, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, wooden floors, electricity as well as an en-suite bathroom (Electricity at Rainforest camp may be limited at times, as the camp is powered by solar and wind energy). All the tents are of the same size, the bathrooms come with a hot & cold shower, western style toilet, and Elephant Hills shampoo collection.

Nature Safari (4 days/3 nights)

Elephant Hills is an incredible experience for couples and families, with children under 16 years staying free during the months of May, June and September. Families of up to 2 adults and 2 children can be accommodated in one tent, with 1 child sleeping in an extra bed and 1 child sharing the double bed with parents. 
Children under 4 years old will not be allowed at Elephant Hills and children under 7 years will not be allowed to stay overnight at the floating Rainforest Camp (Jungle Lake Safari).

3 nights at The Elephant Camp, day trip to the floating Rainforest Camp

Day 1
- Transfer from the airport or hotel to Elephant Hills Camp in Khao Sok. 
- Elephant Hills Elephant Experience: Feeding, washing and interacting with Asia’s largest land animal. A really touching experience in an almost untouched environment.
- Canoe Safari down the Sok River. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Khao Sok.
- Evening Activities: movie presentation, dance performances and cooking demonstration.

Day 2
- Explore the phenomenal fig tree channel by speed boat.
- Self-paddle canoeing through one of the many mangrove channels.
- Relax onboard our Classical Burmese Junk with lunch on board.
- Evening Activities: movie presentation, dance performances and cooking demonstration.

Day 3
- Visit a local market in Takhun to experience Thailand’s rural lifestyle.
- Boat Trip. Sightseeing in a traditional longtail boat on Cheow Larn Lake.
- Lunch and free time at the Rainforest Camp. Self-paddle canoes are available to explore the spectacular surrounding. Return to Elephant Hills in the late afternoon.
- Evening Activities: movie presentation, dance performances and cooking demonstration

Day 4
- Jungle trekking by foot through Southern Thailand’s unique rainforest environment.
- Return to Elephant Hills and onward transfer to your next hotel or the airport. 

1 Night at The Elephant Camp, 1 Night at the floating Rainforest Camp

Day 1 
- Transfer from the airport or hotel to Elephant Hills Camp in Khao Sok. 
- Elephant Hills Elephant Experience: Feeding, washing and interacting with Asia’s largest land animal. A really touching experience in an almost untouched environment.
- Canoe Safari down the Sok River. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Khao Sok.

Day 2

- Boat Trip. Sightseeing in a traditional longtail boat on Cheow Larn Lake.
- Lunch at the Rainforest Camp. Canoes are available to explore the spectacular surrounding.
- Guided canoe safari and Wildlife spotting.
- Overnight at the Rainforest Camp.

Day 3
- Jungle trekking on foot through southern Thailand’s unique Rainforest environment.
- Lunch at the Rainforest Camp and chance to swim before return transfer to hotel or airport.

Not applicable for children under 7 years old.
