Emerald green valleys, pinky sunsets, white sands and peaceful rice paddies set the scene for a blissful escape, staying at some of the most seductive hotels in Indonesia. It's little wonder Bali is known as the 'island of the gods.'
Bali holidays can be as relaxing or action-packed as you like: whether you prefer to laze the days away on sublime beaches, keep active with adventure sports, or tour temples and immerse yourself in Balinese culture, you'll find plenty to keep you captivated in this vibrant island paradise.

Things to do in Bali - The Highlights
The majority of hotels in Bali are located in the south of the island. Lose yourself in the hustle and bustle of Kuta, on the beautiful sands of Legian or in the trendy boutiques of Seminyak - or head inland to discover the island's ancient monuments and lush rice terraces. Trek up the country's active volcanoes, swim with rescued elephants or stick to the coast and explore some of Indonesia's most beautiful coral gardens.
Best time to visit Bali
Weather in Bali
The weather is Bali is pleasant year-round, with temperatures remaining fairly consistent throughout the seasons. May, June and July are regarded as the best months to visit, in terms of weather, as they're the driest. The busiest times are July and August and over Christmas and New Year.
The rainiest times of year are January - March, although rainfall is rarely excessive and it usually brightens up again in no time - and you're still able to do most activities, except volcano treks.
September is a great time to go to Bali. It's warm, sunny, and dry, yet classed as a 'shoulder season' - so it's easy to pick up a good deal on accommodation.

Dining in Bali
Bali is a foodie heaven: one of Indonesia's best culinary hotspots. Many of Bali's restaurants dish up breath-taking views to complement their cuisine, from dining cliff-side at sunset with waves crashing below, to watching mist gently clearing through the rainforest treetops as you sup on spicy noodle soup. Bali's fusion flavours will leave your tummy just as satisfied as your eyes: you'll find contemporary twists on Asian favourites, alongside meals prepared in the traditional way, using steaming baskets and wood-fired mud brick stoves. Super-fresh seafood, curries, and stir-fries grace many a menu, but you'll also find restaurants serving fine French and Italian cuisine, too.
Legian & Seminyak
Seminyak is the trendiest resort in the southern end of the Bali. Dotted with luxury hotels, a wealth of boutiques, fancy restaurants, fashionable bars, sleek clubs and gorgeous sunset-side stretches of Indian Ocean shoreline, it's understandably popular.
Don’t miss sunset drinks at one of the laid-back beachside shacks, and stay late for boozy beach parties at the Potato Head club, which carry on well into the early hours. Seminyak's off-white sands and gentle waves make it the perfect spot to try out surfing. Check into the upscale Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa.
