JA Manafaru

JA Manafaru sits at the most northerly tip of the Maldives, in the pristine, lagoon-ringed Haa Alifu Atoll. This unique location is not only fringed with exquisite, powder beaches, but also has a jungle filled interior giving you a true tropical castaway feel. The island offers extensive leisure facilities, wellness programmes and spa experiences plus five diving venues serving a delightful array of spectacular cuisine.

JA Manafaru is home to a stunning collection of villas that are just steps from the white sandy beach or perched on stilts above the turquoise lagoons. Each are modern and elegantly designed with private pools and inviting sun decks which are perfect for an idyllic escape. The water villas offer a choice of sun rise of sun set views from their stunning outdoor spaces, where you will also have direct access to an abundance of colourful marine life from your deck.
 
During the day relax around the Andiamo pool that is surrounded by the tropical gardens. The white sandy beach offers a spectacular spot for beach days and there is an array of fun water sports on offer including jet skis, fun tubes and flyboarding as well as a range of complimentary non-motorised water sports. Snorkelling is a popular past time on the island where you can explore the house reef and its wonderful marine life. There is also a PADI dive centre and some incredible experiences available including local island boat excursions, dolphin and turtle spotting and manta ray adventures. Back on land you can enjoy a game of tennis or badminton or why not try a competitive game of volleyball. There is also a fitness centre, outdoor fitness trail and a yoga terrace for those who want to keep up with their lifestyle regimes. Cycling is a wonderful way to explore the island and there are complimentary bikes to use to ride around the 1.5km island loop or you may just prefer to have a stroll through the magical surroundings.

JA Manafaru not only offers many energising activities but it also the perfect place to relax with an incredible spa retreat located in the forest, surrounded by tropical plants and banyan trees. Here you can indulge in signature massages, scrumptious body treatments and a variety of wellness classes. There is also a salon and specially designed treatments for 3-12 years.

For those who are travelling with children, JA Manafaru is home to CoolZone Kids, a fabulous place for children of 3-7 years to play and make new friends. There is a children’s pool here and a fantastic array of activities including talent shows, jelly fish crafts and treasure hunts. The Recreation Pavilion is great for older children and families where there is a range of games including a billiards table, movie room and Seatopia, where an opportunity to learn about the marine life is hosted.

JA Manafaru has a varied range of gourmet restaurants where an award-winning culinary team create divine flavours. Dine barefoot on the beach at Ocean Grill, offering the freshest seafood and mouthwatering cuts of meat or White Orchid serves Eastern favourites including noodles, curries and Teppanyaki experiences from an over water setting. Kakuni is the all-day dining restaurant and serves foods from around the world as well as hosting seafood BBQs and Asian street theme nights. There is also a pool bar at the infinity pool and Andiamo Bistro serves specialty Italian favourites and delicious ice creams beside the jungle pool. Veli Bar is the place to be for crafted cocktails that can be enjoyed under the stars or sit back and listen to the live music or join in the karaoke. The Cellar, a wine chamber lined with volcanic rock deep under the island serves top notch set menu dinners complimented by a vast choice of wines.
