Crete has a temperate Mediterranean climate, Spring comes late March through to April with temperatures ranging from 15C to 20C. Summers are from May to August with very hot and dry temperatures with strong sea breezes,averaging 26C to 40C. Autumn is also a great time to visit from when the temperatures are milder and the resorts are not so busy. November to March the weather is much cooler and damper and it is when the resorts go into hibernation and many of the attractions close for the winter.
