Grenada has a warm year-round climate with two distinct wet and dry seasons. The wet season runs from June to December and is characterised by hot and humid conditions. Rain tends to fall in short sharp bursts during this period. The dry season is between January and May when there are fewer showers and the north-east trade winds keep the temperature lower. Grenada is on the very edge of the hurricane belt.
